Orientation Flights

The Puerto Rico Civil Air Patrol has 4 airplanes, three Cessna 172's and a Cessna 182T with a glass cockpit at the moment. These Airplanes are used to make search and rescue missions, damage evaluations after natural disasters and for cadet flight instruction. On orientation flight days the cadets will be able to have the opportunity to hop on an airplane and to fly on the copilot's seat right next to the CAP Pilot. In each flight three cadets enter the plane, two in the back and one in the front. The cadets in the back will be able to fly in the front once the pilot makes his first stop. While the one in the front will have the opportunity to learn how the instruments work during flight the cadets riding in the back can enjoy the view. And the best thing is that its totally FREE with your CAP active membership.

Cadets Rafols, Fachko and Irizarry prepare for a flight on the Cessna 182 of the Civil Air Patrol.
